This course introduces residential real estate appraisers to the fundamentals of data visualization and its practical application in appraisal reporting and analysis. As the appraisal profession increasingly relies on complex data sources and quantitative analysis, the ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively is critical. This course explores key visualization techniques—including charts, graphs, maps, and dashboards—that can enhance the credibility, clarity, and compliance of residential appraisal reports. Participants will review common data tools (e.g., Excel, GIS, and appraisal software integrations), and learn how to visualize market trends, housing data, and adjustments to provide a well-supported value opinion. Emphasis is placed on effective communication and avoiding misleading visual representations.
